a Renaissance Ensemble

The Sherwood Forest Singers

About Us

The Sherwood Forest Singers is a band of traveling troubadours who strive to bring the magic of music to Revel Grove and beyond. The group consists of members of the larger Chamber Choir that share a collective love of the Maryland Renaissance Festival and choral singing. Its members have combined these passions to create a small ensemble choir.

We are an 17-person ensemble that has 4–5 singers representing each voice part. Experience of individual members ranges from professionally trained performers to hobby singers. Our repertoire consists of multiple-part acapella pieces, including but not limited to classical and contemporary Chamber, Sea Shanty, Shaker, and Spiritual music.

Performances

The group made its public debut at the Maryland Renaissance Festival in Crownsville, MD, during the 2025 season on September 6 & 7. The group performed two 25-minute sets each morning, bringing the sounds of days of old to the streets of Revel Grove.

We are open to future performance opportunities. Please contact us for more information.
